We have been snowed in here in Central New York. My wife and I are in the FAFO stage of being in each other’s faces. We are breaded and souped out, and the herbal tea supplies are getting low. The cats look at us as if to say, “Why are you still inside? Get out of our house.”
So here we are. I gathered up an ALDI bag of scrap balls and partial skeins that kinda-sorta looked like they might go well together and then threw in a few outliers to see what that would look like. I’ve got a mix of mostly worsted-weight acrylic, although some Briggs & Little wool is in there.
There is also some chunky and super bulky-weight yarn in the bag. I’m using an 8.0mm hook. I am making this on the fly, so I will start writing down the pattern when I have more done. I have come to the conclusion that I absolutely HATE filming the process, so unless I can figure out a way to make it less hateful, I will probably take lots of photos.
So here is how my brain works under these conditions. My brain looks at all the writing I need to do for my Patreon (where I teach numerology and Tarot) and says, “Right! We need to write 20 pages about The Chariot and the number 7, but wait a minute…do you know what we need in this house full of crocheted blankets? Another crocheted blanket! You better get on that right away!”
